This year's mental health awareness week was called Know Yourself, Grow Yourself. Classes watched the film Inside Out 2 and then took part in follow-up work, exploring all our different emotions.  At the end of the week, children came into school wearing a colour that reflected a mood or a way of feeling, as depicted in the film. They brought in donations for the Home Start charity. Home-Start Essex transforms the lives of vulnerable young children under 5 years and their families in our local community, ensuring every child has the chance to thrive in a safe, healthy and supportive environment. Home-Start Essex is one of the county’s leading ‘early intervention and prevention’ charities, supporting families with young children. Their goal is to give our local children the best possible start in life. We would like to thank all our families for supporting the work of this local charity.
